Daily journal June 6, 2000, by-William Thomas Thompson, let us worship together.

Daily church should be our goal in life to worship the true and living God and recognize him in all things that we do say or think. Let us reverence the Lord our God in all our actions and respect Him.

When we pray let us focus on God in heaven and not pray to Mary or any other false idol that man has set in our way. Let us not worship the Saints or our ancestors, let us not pray to a priest but to God alone.

Last night the news carried a report of the noise level in restaurants being high enough to damage your hearing at 80-90 decibels. The rattle of dishes and the wide-open mouths of so many people making noise hurt my ears. A restaurant should be a quiet place and peaceful for best digestion. The report stated that intoxicated people will be most likely to talk loud and especially drunk people screams out and this was mentioned as a possible cause of damage to people's hearing. The safe way is to cook and eat at home.

The president has finished his parade overseas to buy peace and goodwill from the Russians all we can afford. I do not understand why the dollar keeps spending but I am beginning to see the light on the world's wealth and why they spare us. It is surely not from the sweat of all those people who labor to beat a living and faithfully tend the farms to bring in tons of fresh food to a market and trainloads of grain. Such a harvest is a miracle of God and there should be no hungry people at all in the world. Yet more than half the world is hungry and starving to death. It is greed that causes the problem that accounts for all the suffering.

The way to victory is to start with ourselves as one individual before God and man as single-minded and pure with no strings or rings attached or tattoos for that matter. Let us present ourselves fresh daily to the Lord for his service and not try to advise God on how He should judge the world. We must develop a taste for obedience to Almighty God regardless of the circumstances and serve him even if we suffer as a result.

Make sure God himself writes your name in Heaven in the Lambs Book of Life. His or her good works saves no man. The church saves no person. The church is a vehicle to point people to the Lord by preaching the gospel and teaching truth. The church membership is worthless in eternity. So many mistake the outward appearance of church attendance as service to God. Real service only begins after you leave the church and go into the streets and the entire world to teach and preach the Gospel of Christ the Lord who has power to save the everlasting soul. The church is a vehicle to point people to God and identify truth for the body of Christ. Today's church is largely a social order mostly denying the truth and limiting religion when it comes to a real genuine heartfelt experience with the Lord. If you how a redundant experience in church and a label given you by man while missing the peace and joy, then I suggest you start over to find the power of God through prayer and determination to receive the blessing. Salvation for the soul is accompanied by great joy and peace that no man can describe in words after you have found the Lord in a personal experience you may continue to seek him for the gifts of the spirit starting with sanctification and being filled with the Holy Spirit form which these gifts will come through. At anytime you're tempted to act in any way not becoming a Christian life like Christ, then this would not be a God. All things that are of God are in harmony. God is kind and true and loves all people seeking to do harm to none. Not all religions of the world are of God in fact very few are. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Let us love truth and seek it daily. Let us identify the way of the true church of the living God. Let us serve the Lord and be faithful to all consistently.
